1. Scope
These terms govern every order placed via glitchtavern.uk between Glitch Tavern Ltd ("the Tavern", "we") and the customer ("you"). Your terms do not apply unless we accept them in writing.
2. Contract formation
Catalog listings are an invitation to treat, not a binding offer. Hitting "Lock it in" places an order. We accept by sending an order confirmation email; the contract is formed when that email lands.
3. Prices
All prices are in pounds sterling (£) and include UK VAT at 20% where applicable. Shipping is calculated at checkout per the rates on the Shipping page. Free Royal Mail Tracked 24 from £60.00 subtotal.
4. Payment
We accept card via Stripe and PayPal. Goods are dispatched after payment clears. We retain title until full payment is received.
5. Dispatch
Royal Mail Tracked 24. Orders submitted before 16:00 GMT on a working day are dispatched the same day; later orders ship the next working day. Tracking is emailed when Royal Mail scans the parcel at the depot.
6. Returns
Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 grant you a 14-day right to cancel. We extend this to 30 days. See the Returns page for the process.
7. Statutory rights (Consumer Rights Act 2015)
Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Where a pre-owned game does not meet these standards, you can request a refund, replacement or repair under the Act. This is in addition to the 30-day return window.
8. Warranty (gesture of goodwill)
On top of statutory rights we voluntarily guarantee function for 12 months on pre-owned consoles. If it fails to power on, read discs or hold saves within that window, we repair or replace.
The warranty does not cover: cosmetic yellowing of plastic, dust accumulation, save-battery decline after 6 months of regular use, or customer-caused damage.
9. Liability
We do not exclude liability for death, personal injury, fraud or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law. Otherwise our maximum liability under a contract is the order value.
10. Governing law
English law applies. Disputes go to the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can use the courts of your domicile.
